Today we’re completing the final phase of our rebranding process from Clubify to ClubZap which involves the release of our new mobile app and the launch of our new website ClubZap.com.
We loved our original name Clubify and know a lot of you guys felt the same but we believe now is the ideal time to rebrand and refresh our look.
Our first logo was created before the company launched. It was distinctive, and simple with a large C representing Clubify and the red and white palette formed the colour scheme for the design of the initial app and website.
As our customer base grew and we started to customise the platform in individual club colours we soon realised the red and white logo did not blend well with the different variations.
Clubify was first released in 2015 as a mobile app with basic functionality for club communications. Since then it has evolved into a Content Delivery Engine (CDE), driving engagement between a club and its community. We developed an online payments platform to simplify membership collection, team subs and fundraising while the online shop provides a retail outlet for clubs to sell any merchandise.
The release of the much anticipated Group Chat feature for club admins and coaches to communicate with parents and players in a simple, secure and noise free environment means we now have a single product to to satisfy all the needs for sports clubs for running their communications and payments.
Following lots of discussion and surveying of family, friends, customers, business advisors and branding experts we decided on the name ClubZap which incidentally is our registered company name from day 1!
We have always promoted ourselves as an energetic, lively, fast-moving and mobile first product and the word Zap reflected dynamism and speed.
It was also meant we had a great name for the chatbot we had developed who interacts with users as part of the on boarding process for our new chat and in future will help with any queries people may have about their club. (e.g: What time do the U8 team train on Saturdays? or Who is registered on my membership package?). More about Zappy our bot later!
With the name decided, it was on to the design team at So & So for the new identity and this was the idea behind it:
We do hope you like it and enjoy the different layouts:
